Doug (Douglas) was a dear friend of mine. We knew each other from the time we were in third grade at Manoa Elementary School. We shared a wonderful biology class with our awesome teacher Mr. Ernst!!! Doug served in Vietnam Nam as a medic! I recall his dad sending him medicines and medical equipment to aid Doug in his care of his peers. Doug returned home and I believe he suffered from PTSD before we recognized such a disability. He was a kind, intelligent, courageous young man! Leslie Hope Chaney Taylor (Rick's wife)

Doug was my father. He died when I was seven years old. I do not know much about him and I was hoping that someone may have a story about him or maybe a picture of him. Please if there is anything that you can share with me please let me know.

Douglas, your grandparents were my parents' next door neighbors on Warrior Road in Drexel Hill.Your dad and I were close friends during our times at Manoa School through high school. We both belonged to Aronomink Swim Club; he was on the diving team and I was on the swim team. Doug was a handsome man, intelligent, a great diver and a terrific friend!!! I still think of him. If you'd like to contact me on FB my name is Leslie Hope Chaney Taylor.
