In Memory

Victor Long

Victor S. Long Jr., 76 of Oklahoma City, OK.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled.” John 14:27

Vic peacefully went to be with Jesus on the morning of November 17, 2022. He was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 19, 1946, and graduated from Haverford High School in 1965. He served in the United States Air Force and was stationed at Altus, Oklahoma where he met his bride of 54 years, Vicki L. Aubert-Long. Vic went on to work for First National Bank Subsidiaries for 16 years. He went on to own and operate Dunkin Donuts in Abilene, TX and later Revolutions Cycling and Fitness for 15 years, in Oklahoma City. Vic always prided himself and expected a high level of customer service in both of his businesses. After years of being self-employed he then worked in security at OPUBCO for 10 years where he retired in July 2012. After retirement he enthusiastically gave out samples at Sam’s Club.

Vic was passionate about his relationship with God and serving within his church. He was a member over the years at both Meadowood Baptist Church and Putnam City Baptist Church. He served in various roles: choir, serving the needy such as Grace Mission and outreach to first time guests. He was a connector of people. After God, Vic’s greatest devotion and love was to his family, both immediate and extended as evidenced by many family trips from the East to West coast to right here in Oklahoma with his cousins, nieces and nephews. He always had a smile and a song in his heart to share with you. Other life enjoyments were fishing, food and trips to Branson. Vic was a charter member of the Spencer Historical society, a member of Spencer Kiwanis Club, Water Rowdy’s, served as usher for the Oklahoma City Civic Center and member of the Italians of Central Oklahoma.

If you knew Vic, you immediately gained a best friend for Life. He always made you smile and when you left his presence you always felt lighter and better than when you came in.

Victor is survived by his wife Vicki, daughter Angie Sullivan and her husband Scot, two grandchildren Noelle and Noah. Two brothers Mark Long and Stephen Long and significant other Pat Slack, his beloved mother-in-law Betty Miller-Davis, 2 sister-in-law’s Debbie Adam and Pam King, many loving nieces and nephews, including 15 great.

He is preceded in death by his mother Theresa M. Long, father Victor S. Long Sr., brother Richard L. Long, sister-in-law Mary Ann Long and was fond of time with father-in-law’s Vincent Aubert, Al Miller and Lloyd Davis.

There will be a viewing Saturday November 26 from 1-5, family visitation 1-3, at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home at 8805 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73141 phone 405-769-3362.
