Christine M. Nolle, 70, of Kill Devil Hills, died March 9 in Virginia Beach. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on April 9, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Olive Berner and the late Admiral A. Merit Berner. Christine attended Haverford High School in Havertown, PA, as well as Edinboro State College in Edinboro, PA. She was a homemaker and later worked for the Literacy Council of Frederick County, Frederick, MD, helping adults who struggled with illiteracy. She was the wife of the late William Nolle. She is survived by her sister, Judith Bura of Virginia Beach; her daughter, Elizabeth of Hominy Falls, WV; and her son, Michael, daughter-in-law Lindsay and three grandsons. A private memorial service was held at a later date.
