Marnie, as she liked to be called, has been a special friend of mine since she moved to Coopertown from Pittsburgh in the 7th grade. She and John, also HHS, were godparents to my second child. She was a talented artist specializing in woven and fabric art. Marnie, John and their two sons, Matthew and Stephen lived in MD just outside of DC. Her passing after a short illness is hard for me to comprehend but she left a legacy of love that will live on with her family and friends. Rest In Peace, dear friend.
I was sorry to learn of Marilyn's passing. Although I knew her only briefly, her late husband, John, was my neighbor, and we both grew up on Harrington Road in the 1950s and 1960s on a street that had nearly as many kids as there were parents.
