Suzanne MacNamee (Fox)

COLUMBIA FALLS, MAINE - Suzanne MacNamee Fox died on February 3, 2022, at the age of 74, surrounded by her family. Sue was born July 6, 1947, outside of Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of William and Patricia (Abbott) MacNamee.
She attended the Havertown school system where she played inter-scholastic field hockey and softball. Sue attended the University of Lynchburg in Virginia, graduating in 1970. She received her teaching certification in Special Education in 1997 from the University of Maine at Machias. She and her husband Raymond met in Berwyn, Pennsylvania and were married for 38 years and they resided in Columbia Falls.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and also enjoyed watching Philadelphia sports teams. Sue taught for 25 years in the Jonesport/Beals school system as a Special Education teacher. She will be missed by her colleagues and former students for her work ethic and her sense of humor.
In addition to her parents, Suzanne was predeceased her sister, Linda MacNamee. She is survived by her brother, Richard MacNamee and wife, Pat of Maryland; her husband, Raymond Fox of Columbia Falls; her children, Sean Simmons of Pennsylvania, William Fox and his wife, Heather, of Bucksport, and Katherine Kelley and husband, Ira, of Jonesport; her grandchildren, Sean, Susie, Troy, Ryan, Jocelyn, Hailey, MacKenzie, and Zachary, and a great-granddaughter, Juliet.

June Vandegrift (Bell)

Sue was also in Haverford's band - for a lot of years, she added to the experience with her fun loving nature. Rest in peace, Sue.
