Linda passed away after a battle with brain cancer on July 28, 2018.
Glancey, Linda (nee Maurer) Linda passed away on July 28, 2018 after a short but brave battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, William J. Glancey, her children Lane (Ellen) and Tori Grob (Brian), step children Michael (Lori), John (Kelley) and Trisha (Rod), sister Glenda Smith, and 12 grandchildren, to whom she was an adored, enthusiastic and fun “Grammie”. Linda was preceded in death by her first husband Lawrence Pittner, with whom she shared 30 years, and her parents Harvey and Gela Maurer. Linda graduated from Haverford High School and then worked with the Haverford School District as her kids went through school and until retirement. She was very active in her children’s schooling and became great friends with many of their teachers. Linda loved life! She loved to travel, especially cruising, having been on over 25 cruises. She enjoyed her bowling nights and getting out to golf. She spent hours in her garden and won the Penn State Master Gardener award for her yard in 2015. She made it a sanctuary for people but even more for the many critters that would visit her back deck to be fed and photographed. Relatives and friends are invited to visitation with her family at Hope United Methodist Church at Steele & Manoa Roads in Havertown, Friday Aug 3, starting at 10:00am with a service at 11:00am. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) www.aspca.org.

This is such sad news. Linda and I went through Lynnewood, junior and high school. We lived near each other and I have nothing but fond memories of her. She was a peach.Janice
