After graduation I attended school in NYC, then worked as a Medical Assistant in Ardmore. I married Bob Hatman in 1968. We had 3 daughters and were married for 29 years when he died suddenly from Cancer. Diagnosis to death was only 8 days. At that time I was working as Realtor in Kentucky. After Bob died I simply burned out and ended up moving back to PA. Back to school again where I was working on a degree in Banking. I was employed in West Chester PA as Admin to the SR Vice President in the Commercial Mortgage department. Loved my job.
After a few years I met and married my current hubby and moved to CT where we lived until 2007. Jim and I then moved to Mena AR, population 5,780, and life is very unique here. I work for a CPA so we are gearing up for our heavy tax season. Travel time is about 3 minutes to work and about the same to just about anything else in town. Main shopping is at Walmart. No options unless we travel at least 90 miles. But. . it is a nice place to live. We are involved with our church and community and are enjoying the slower pace and friendliness of the south.
This year 2020 we moved to Swansboro, NC, which is just off Emerald Isle. Absolutely love it here. We both retired and now look forward to visits from our kids and grandkids. Most of our family now live within about 8 hours driving time so we have seen much more of them this year. Covid has interfered with making new friends and finding a church family but hopefully all that will change.
