This year I celebrate being an eight year cancer survivor.

I taught junior and senior high English for 27 years, all but two at Boyertown Senior High School. I was drama director for 20 years, and am currently preparing to play the Nurse in Romeo and Juliet here at Rowan, my first time on stage since...a looong time ago.

I earned my MA at Villanova University and my EdD at Widener University in Reading/Language Arts in 2000, and then moved to preparing future English teachers for the past 14 years at Rowan University.

Served (2012-2013) as Associate Dean from Sept. to January and then Interim Dean until June. I returned to Associate Dean's office July 1. It's not really a demotion; I chose not to apply to become the new dean! The stress could kill you!

Currently teaching two grammar classes as an adjunct; retirement not all it's cracked up to be for me!

Judged women's gymnastics for many years while daughter, Karen, was competing.

Married to John E. Jorgensen (class of 1964 and retired Health and Phys. Ed. teacher) for 47 years.

Funny notes: Elaine Irwin Mellencamp was one of my students, as was Steve Burns of Blue's Clues fame. Both were in shows I directed at Boyertown.
